Future plans of the Department:

01 To start PG course in English and Research Centre in Languages and Literatures on the college campus
02 To start a Center for the study of regional languages and literatures so as to promote ideological and nativistic perspectives in linguistics and literary scholarship.
03 To introduce the courses in foreign languages and literatures such as German, French, Spanish, Japanese, Chinese, Russian, Italian so as to equip students to face the challenges of globalization.
04 To initiate Translation as well as Comparative Studies in the Department so as to make various languages work together through a mutual exchange of common ideas and programmes
05 To establish a network of linkages, collaborations, MoU with national and international universities.
06 To expand a computeric digital language laboratory which can benefit not only the language students, but any student of any discipline on or out the campus as well.
